FROM: Chief, Medical Operations Division
Office of Medical Services
SUBJECT: Medical Operations Division
1. The use of medicine to accomplish specific goals of the
Agency are limited only by one's lack of imagination and
availability of resources. MOD (Medical Operations Division)
has an overseas as well as a domestic capability to support a
variety of operational requirements. In both areas we utilize
Agency physicians, psychiatrists, Medical Services Officers as
well as cleared non-Agency physicirland psychiatrists. Hqs
25X1
has approximately physicians an psychiatrists cleared for
operational use. Cleared medical personnel in the overseas
25X1 environment are limited to those assigned to medical
25X1 facilities. Medical Dersonnel assigned to
25X1 and to some degree will have a more
direct access to such consultants than the others. Although we
work with all of the Agency's Directorates, the DDO is the
biggest user of MOD's operational support.
2. Medical Operations Division has 4 Branches
I. Field Activities Branch
a. It is responsible for providing medical care
to overseas Agency employees and dependents as well as
providing operational support to the case officer.
25X1 This is accomplished through RMO's (Regional Medical
Officers)
