1. (S/D) SIGNIFICANCE: TWO NEW SA-6 WERE IDENTIFIED
IN THE SYRIA-LEBANON BORDER ARE NINE SA-6
BATTALIONS HAVE NOW BEEN IDENTIFIED IN THE ANTI-LEBANON
MOUNTAINS; FOUR IN LEBANON AND FIVE IN SYRIA.
2. (S/D) REMARKS: THE ADDITIONAL SA-6 BATTALIONS WERE
IDENTIFIED IN LEBANON AT SYRIA-LEBANON BORDER SAM SITE L22
AND AT SYRIA-LEBANON BORDER SAM SITE L29. SA-6 EQUIPMENT WAS
NOT OPERATIONALLY DEPLOYED AT THESE SITES -
BATTALIONS WERE DEPLOYED AT THE FOLLOWING SITES
