REPORTED AT KYAKHTA TANK DIVISION HQ/SA-6 REGT/BKS AL-l. ON
SEE NPIC ITEM 1, AND ORIGINAL BRIEFING 25X1
BOARD Z-16066/82, WHILE THE SIGNIFICANCE 25X1
OF THE REPORT REMAINS THE SAME, THERE IS AN IMPORTANT
DIFFERENCE IN EQUIPMENT REPORTED 25X1
AND THAT OF 25X1
(SWN) MENSURATION AND ANALYSIS OF THE( (IMAGERY 25X1
CONFIRM THAT 25 STANDARD BMD ARE STORED IN THE NEW VEHICLE
PARK AND THAT THERE WERE NO BMD M-1981/2 ON THIS DATE,
NOR-WITH-ALMOST COMPLETE CERTAINTY--WERE ANY P 25X1
THE VEHICLE PARK WAS FIRST OBSERVED 25X1
WHEN IT WAS BEING CLEARED AND LEVELED. THE FENCE LINES WERE
CONSTRUCTED BETWEEN 25X1
(SWN) NO AIRBORNE TRAINING DEVICES WERE IN OR AROUND THE
INSTALLATION THE LACK OF
TRAINING DEVICES AND VERY RECENT ARRIVAL OF THE BMD INDICATE
THAT ALL OF THE EQUIPMENT, AND POSSIBLY THE PERSONNEL, OF
THIS UNIT WERE NOT YET PRESENT. KYAKHTA IS 1 NM NORTH OF
THE MONGOLIAN BORDER.
