(INF) DIVISION PRESENTLY FORMING AT HISSAR ARMY BARRACKS
SATRAUD HAS RECEIVED ITS FIRST CONTINGENT OF ARMORED PERSONNEL
CARRIERS (APC).
2. (SWN) REMARKS: AT LEAST 22 BMP APC ARE PARKED NEAR THE EAST
EDGE OF THE INSTALLATION. DIVISIONAL SUPPORT UNITS INCLUDING
ONE ENGINEER REGIMENT, ONE ARMY SERVICE CORPS MOTOR TRANSPORT
PLATOON AND ARMY MEDICAL CORPS UNITS WERE FIRST IDENTIFIED
HERE HOWEVER, NO MECH INF OR ARMOR UNITS WERE
PRESENT.
(SWN) HISSAR IS IN WESTERN INDIA APPROXIMATELY 85 NM NORTHWEST
OF DELHI AND 135 NM EAST OF THE INDIA-PAKISTAN BORDER.
