Request for Reprogramming - CLAS
Action Re uested: Approval is requested to reprogram
rom t e project (78-1015) to Facilities
anagement Division (FI~1D) (78-1112) and Printing and
Photography Division (P~;PD)(78-1141). FPID and P$PD will repay
these funds to CLAS in FY 88.
2. Back round: Due to a slippage by the vendor in the
scheduled delivery o the upgraded software releases for the
CLAS project, a determination was made to re ro ram FY 87 funds
25X1 into equipment in order to procure upgraded ~ protocol
terminals. Unfortunately, as we explored the terminal issue,
it was learned that O1T was preparing a Request for Proposal
for an Agency standard workstation which would not lead to a
contract award until FY 88. Both of these factors preclude our
expending the entire FY 87 CLAS budget; however, with both
software and hardware becoming available next year, we will
require restoration of these funds in FY 88.
3. OL has identified two FY 88 requirements that can be
completed in FY 87 with a repayment to CLAS in FY 88. FDID has
determined that 85$ of the steam coils for the air handling
unit in the original Headquarters Building are in need of
repair or replacement. Installation of replacement coils is
currently underway in the Auditorium and the north Penthouse.
Installation of the balance of the coils this year in the South
Penthouse and~the North and South Basements will require an
25X1 additional in FAN 78-1112, SOC 2540. Pt,PD has a
requirement to expand its inventory of videotapes maintained in
its videotape replication facility in order to stay abreast of
lating demands for video services. An additional
25X1 is rec{uired in FAN 78-1141, SOC 2609 to provide an
