1. This memorandum contains a promotion recommen-
dation for your approval.

2. has been functioning as a programmer
within A.n since the completion of his initial train-
ing as a programmer in May 1968. In this capacity, he
has written several computer programs in support of An/ORD
objectives. He has the major responsibility for technical
25X1A2g interface with the TDMS system and other portions of the
11package, as well a ontrol of all system and user
25X1A9a ocumentation. is the staff expert on the high
level language and has been tasked with the support
of the operating system maintenance function. He has
recently completed a series of programs designed to
exercise the capabilities of new, lower cost, magnetic
tape units. He has also implemented on the IPRD computer
the Conversational Programming System (CPS), which enables
the use of the PL/1 and BASIC languages from CRT and
typewriter terminals.
25X1A9a 3. has performed well on his assignments
and is conscientious in the way he applies himself and
uses his time. He strives to increase his proficiency in
many areas via individual study and external training.
Currently, he is taking a series of courses designed to
equip him with in-depth knowledge of the computer operating
system.
