Employee disclosure
bill withdrawn'
T he CIA has withdrawn a legislative
proposal to impose criminal penalities
on government employees who disclose
classified information [presstime, April
1985, p. 141.
The proposal, included in a draft of the
fiscal 1986 CIA authorization bill, never
reached Congress.
The idea may not be dead, however.
According to Tonda F. Rush, ANPA coun-
sel/government affairs, it may re-emerge
as a separate bill. 11
