OBITUARIES Burt ~Icnry Rettcr~ ,fir., 71, a retired photo analysC with the Central Intelligence Agency, died of pneumonia Dec. 14 at Shenandoah County Memorial Hospital in Wood- stock, Va. Mr. Betters retired from the CIA in 1972 after 20 years of service. A native of Morris, Minn., he was a graduate of the University of Min- nesota, and in 1938 he began a teaching career as head of the sci- ence department at Crosby-Ironton College, part of the University of Minnesota system. [Ic served in the Army in North Africa and Europe during World War [[, then returne8 to teaching before moving to the Washington area around 1950. A resident of Burke, he had been in a nursing home in Woodstock, Va., recently. Survivors include his wife, Edna B. Betters of Burke; two daughters, Paula Davis of Detroit and Barbara Boore of Burke; a son, Brian Bet- ters of Merritt Island, Fla.; a sister, Rozella Watzke of Elk River, Minn.,
