Winslow, Bureau of the Budget, regarding Information to be furnished the Flanders subcommittee of the Senate Civil Service Com- mittee regarding the raising of ceilings on Federal positions. It was agreed that limited data on certain positions could be furnished in accordance with Committee requests. 5. Received word from saying that he had received calls from Rep. Called in Personnel to ask that the case be very care- STATINTLfu11y re-shopped in the event that was on the verge of.being rejected. 7. Mrs. Bradshaw, office of Senator Harry F. Byrd, (D., Va.), desired infor- mation as to the status of SSU. The Executive Order number was furnished her, and she was informed that SSU had been liquidated after its transfer to the War Depart- ment. She stated that the matter was of interest to the Senator as the property of one of his constituents was in the process of being condemned for SSU use. Mr. STATINTLHouston and have been so informed.
