STATINTL 1. Interviewed who was referred by Mr. Howard Newmark,
and arranged appointment for him with STATINTL
STATINTL 2. Interviewed who was referred by Senator Brooks, (R.,ili.),
STATINTL and sent him to see told him there was nothing, but
that we would keep his application on file.
3. Received call from Mrs. Bauer, office of Rep. George Bender, (R.,O.),
V inquiring whether CIA was affected by Civil Service regulations on war service
appointments. Told her no.
4. Miss Tyler, office of Rep. Antoni Sadlak, (R.,Conn.), called re a Mr.
STATINTL
Said she had
talked to War Dept., who referred her to CIA. Told her probably wanted
CIC, but that we would be glad to see his 57's if he cared to submit them. STATINTL
5. Drafted telegram and letter to Senator Styles Bridges, (R.,N.H.) in
response to his telegram re application of explaining statuTdTINTL
