1. Received call from George Moore, Chief Counsel, House Civil Service Com-
mittee, relative to the downgrading of jobs in the. wherI TbS PEC
had been alleged that jobs had been downgraded from in some BATS PEC
stances but not in others. Complaint was also made that there had not been detailed
desk audits and that some of the "favored" had been retained in the ffW1SPEC
Specific cases in point were those of STAii TL
Informed Mr. Moore that our classification people had made the audits, talking gen-
erally to the supervisors only, that a representative of the Civil Service Commis-
sion had done likewise, that we had protested some of the downgrading to no avail,
and that at no time did personalities enter into the job assignments.
