/l. Received call from Rep. John Davis Lodge (R.,Conn.) who is anxious
that the U. S. step up its ptopaganda and psychological warfare on an "Anti-Cominform"
basis and wanted to know if the Director desired additional authorities to operate
such a service, if so he "would like to be the man to do it". Wrote memo to the
Director on 26 April.
