1. Delivered memorandum to Senator Saltonstali for his possible
use in connection with Senate consideration of S.,,2~66 (new Senate CIA
Act). Attended Senate session during which S. 2866 came up on Senate consent
calendar and was passed over at the request of Senator Bridges (through
Saltonstall). Telephoned Wesley Powell, secretary to Senator Bridges, to
arrange appointment for the Director to discuss the bill with the Senator.
