1. In view of telephone calls received by the Director
from Admiral Souers and Mr. Stag, Associate Director of the
Bureau of the Budget, regarding alleged CIA opposition to Displaced
Persons' legislation, prepared a letter to Sen. Kilgore setting
forth fact that CIA would take no position on such legislation.
Informed Mr. Arens of this fact.
