1. Delivered letter from to Joseph J.
Lawler, Assistant Postmaster General, rega sng the comic entitled
"Donovan of Central Intelligence".
2. First Loyalty Board meeting re case X12.
3. Spoke with Mr. Arens of the staff of the Immigration
Subcommittee of the Senate Judiciary Committee. He has requested
information from us regarding 5,000 refugees in the Vinezia-Giulia
area and 4,000 Shanghai refugees. (See memo to the Director this
date).
4. Mr. Arens has made available to this Agency stenogra-
phic transcript of two hearings with the request that they be
closely held and that the information contained therein not be
made available to the FBI. A negative and two positives have been
made of these hearings, and handed to the Director.for his dis-
semination.
5. The DP legislation as passed by the House contained
