-1. Discussed Sec. 1 of S. 2269 with Bryce Harlow, House Armed
Services Committee. (See memo for the record dated 6 July - filed in LRH records).
2. Talked with Sen. Tydings regarding the urgent need to bring
up the legislation for amendment of Section 9 of the CIA Act of 1949. The Senator
agreed and ordered that it be considered at the next meeting of the Committee on
6 July.
3. Talked with Col. Justice Chambers, Senate Armed Services Com.
staff, regarding the details of amendment of Sec. 9, which he will handle for us.
