China. The appointment was arranged, thru me at the request of Mr. Larkin, Genera
Counsel of the Department of Defense.
3'. Mr. Smith of the Senate Appropriations Committee requested the
presence of the Director at 1600 hours, 28 Aug. to testify on the Korean situation.
