1. Mrs. Humphries, Rep. Jenison's office, called to request that I assist
her in locating two DP children who were supposed to have arrived by plane
yesterday and evidently got off the plane somewhere in Europe. I informed her
that I could not pull men off their work overseas for such a search in these times,
particularly in the light of other remedies available through the DP Commission
or the State Department.
