McMahon, Chairman of the Joint Congressional Atomic Energy Committee,
operation. Senator McMahon was very much pleased by the operation and wished to extend
his congratulations to the Director for its accomplishment. In further accordance with
the Director's instructions, LP informed Senator McMahon that we proposed to have a re-
view made of the scientific intelligence acti4}ties of the Government and that it would
be conducted by President Conant of Harvard. Senator McMahon proposes to make certain
comments on this to be handed to ;'ALP for the "Eyes Only" consideration of the Director.
