1. of Training, informed us that some members of
the staff of the House Appropriations Committee were planning to visit the
general area of Norfolk to inspect Navy installations. Their aim was to dis-
cover whether all of the land in the area was being properly utilized or whether
some could be returned to private use. Upon recheck it was learned that the
visit had been made on 12 December and that the Navy had handled it in such a
