1. Mr. Murphy, of the office of Congressman Sieminski, talked
to me regarding the case of who may be under consideration
STATINTL for employment at CIA. partner has been informed by the
STATINTL State Department that his passport will not be extended and is good only
for return to the United States. I informed Mr. Murphy that we would
not interfere in a matter of that kind and that if II was being con- STATINTL
sidered operationally he doubtless had informed the people with whom he
was in contact about his partner's dilemma.
2. Mr. Carey, Chairman of the panel of the Employment Review
Board, and Mr. Fforzheimer talked with Mr. S, whose case is presently
before the Board and outlined procedures and discussed the background
of his case in general.
