1. Congressman Battle, accompanied by Mr. Roy Bullock of the
staff of the House Foreign Affairs Comnitte, was briefed today by
members of ORR in accordance with the recommendations of my memo-
randum to the DCI of 4 July 1952. The briefing was a complete suc-
cess and appreciation has been expressed both by Mr. Bullock and Mr.
Harriman's office.
2. Mr. Arens, Staff Director of the Immigration Subcommittee
of the Senate Judiciary Committee has requested access by the Com-
mittee to a and for information concerning
certain of our activates in that area (see memorandum to DD/A, dated
14 July 1952).
