Approved For lease 2007/03/28 : CIA-RDP91-00682RM0200070111-3 Journal Office of Legislative Counsel Wednesday - 28 May 1952 1. I informed Mr. Morris, Internal Security Subcommittee, STATINTL that the DCI would be unable to accept their invitation for an appearance before the Committee on 29 May. Mr. Morris informed me that he STATINTL had called in New York and cancelled the Committee's invitation for appearance. 2. Mr. Borden, Executive Director of the staff of the Joint Congressional Committee on Atomic Energy, has extended the Com- mittee's invitation for the Director to testify on 3 June at 2:30 on the subject of exchange of atomic energy information. Chairman Dean, of the AEC, and Mr. LeBaron, of the Department of Defense, will also be present. I have informed Mr. Borden that the Director will testify if he is in town, and in his absence Mr. Dulles will appear. 3. I discussed with Congressman Walter, Chairman of the Immigration Subcommittee of the House Judiciary Committee, certain amendments to the Omnibus Immigration bill which CIA desired. Mr. Walter assured me that there would be no difficulties in working out these amendments. I also discussed certain private bills with him.
