Mr. Bryce Harlow of the Legislative Staff of the White House
informed me that the White House desired to review the proposed
CIA bill for a Deputy Director. They have,, therefore, asked the
Bureau of the Budget to forward the bill to them and will give it
prompt and expeditious handling.
