1. In connection with the forthcoming meeting on 11 June with Con-
gressman Mahon, it should be noted that there is nothing in particular which the
Congressman wishes to discuss -- this is just a general courtesy visit at our
invitation. However, as I do not believe we have ever seriously discussed the
Joint Committee problem with Mr. Mahon, it might be advisable to do so infor-
mally in view of the fact that Chairman Richards, of the House Foreign Affairs
Committee, among other Democrats, has introduced such a resolution. Other
than that, the Congressman may wish to be brought up to date on Soviet bombers
and the world situation. - i
