Subject: Request from Mr. Roy Cohn, Counsel
for the McCarthy Committee.
1. Mr. Roy Cohn, Counsel for the McCarthy
25X1 A Committee, called to 'state that he and Mr. Shine were
leaving for I tomorrow morning and
would like to be able to talk with some CIA people abroad.
They are going over to look into the activities of the Voice
of America and the information services and are to be
chaperoned by the State Department and MSA people. They
thought it would be helpful if they could talk with CIA people
on information service matters abroad. I told him that in
view of the shortness of time, I would not be able to give
them any assistance here, but that if there was anything
we thought they should have abroad we would have them
contacted overseas.
