Plating electrolytes were prepared by mixing aqueols
901MIons of sodium tuagatate (Mg/1); sodium cirtati!
or sodium tartar-lite (60g/1); hydrazine andbite (log/U,
and cobalt, nickel, or Iron sulfate (20S/1). Electro-
plating was carrl~d out at 70P to 950C with a current
density of:,S atnp/dM2 for 30 minutes. The hydrazire
sulfate solution wits ad as requiredL A pH of 8 use
maintained with s~ mmortia or sulftiric acict. Alloys cle-
posited on' the cathode had the compositions 40%W -
"Vol 45%W-55%Fe or W-N1. The plated layer was
more than 3 microns thick and gave strong acid reslat
ance and hardness.
