Inman's Resignation
R0(3ER MUDD: The White House confirmed today that it
has chosen one career intelligence officer, 52-year-old John
McMahon, to replace another one, Bobby Ray Inman, as the number
two man at the CIA. The appointment of McMahon, currently is
the agency's number three man, is designed to allay the fears
of Intelligence professionals who were dismayed by Inman's re-
signation.
