The heterochrornatic brightness L of colored samples
which have similar luminous reflectance Y was meas-
ured by using the gray scale, and the equal L/Y
curves were drawn on the chromaticity diagram. The
results obtained by two observers did noc always coin-
cide and there were some differences among the bright.
