Trans, of Draht (West Germany) 1960, v. 11, no. 1,
p. 1-4.
An electrotnatically controlled device is described by
means of which lacquered w i re specirnens may 1w dippet
under reproducible conditions. The period of dipping
may be indicated as to fractions of seconds. Tempera-
ture of solution to stabilized by means of a boop-droop
regulator. The device was used to prove that thedip-
ping times depend not only on the diameter Of the bare
wire but also an the chemical comv)s it ion of the tacquer
film and its degree of baking. In addition, by Inserting
brief dipping periods it was possible to determine the
decomposition rate of the film as a function of the Office of TociWcal S"c.s
temperature Of solution follows the Arrhenius equation.
