IA%en the concentration of formaldehyde relative to aniline was increased progressively, emulsification took place and the solution solidified subsequently to a jelly-like state. At approximately the time that emulsi- fication could 1w observed by the naked eye, the vis- cosity of the solution rose abruptly. When we held the quantity of formaldehyde relative to aniline constant and investigated the influence of the glass wall at 50, 40, on"*( T."C.1 some.$ 30, 20. and I OOC, it was seen to have no influence. We synthesized three systems of resins, whose pro- portions of formaldehyde relative to I M of aniline were 0.5 M, 0.7 M, and 1.0 M, and discovered the following facts. We measured the mean molecular weights and viscosity changes and found thwt althotigh the curves ascended in the beginning, they began to decrease gradually post a certain point. Fractional precipitation was conducted with respect to theanifine resin of I : 0.7 mole ratio and its integral distribu- tion curve and mass distribution curve were sought; it was seen as a result that the Integral distribution Office of Tec6lcol $orvice* curve stood up progressively in resins of otter 45 (Materials - - Plav tic a. 7r. v. 5, no.
