There Is a high degree of correlation between the
recoil energy and porosity of elastic rocks. ne con-
ductivity and elasticity of such rocks depend upon po-
rosity; there is, therefore, a correlation between reels-
tivity and elastic wave velocity. The analysis of a large
body of exper im.ental data show a a correlation of 0. 7
oetween resistivity and accoustic f Igidity. and a: corre-
lation of 0. 65 between conductivity and pressure wave
