9. Talked with Walter Besterman of the House Judiciary Immigration
Subcommittee regarding S. 355 which would prohibit certain uses by private
organizations. of names, initials, and insignia similar to those of government
agencies. (See Memorandum for the Record for full details)
Also queried Mr. Besterman as to why the has
not been reported by the Subcommittee. Be indicated t ut he took the initiative
to remove this bill from the House calendar feeling that the climate of the
Committee was not receptive to the bill at this time. It will be taken up in
the next session. has been advised of this.
