Remarks: Re the attached, I have talked to
who indicates probably a reasonable briefing
could be conducted on an unclassified basis. I
have also talked to the chief Staff man who
indicates that they are having a number of experts
such as Dr. Vernon of Harvard, J. B. O'Connor
of Dresser Industries, the principal economist
from Reynolds Metals, representatives from
Dumont Laboratories, and others. They are also
to have Commerce and. State. representatives
including Douglas Dillon. All sessions are to be
open although they would consider an executive
session for no. It was also indicated that they did
not want to press us on this; therefore, the (over)
