Thursday 13 August 1959
xsftold on the staff of the Jackson Subcommittee
on National Policy Making Machinery telephoned requesting that
Agency representatives meet with the staff to go over the outline
of the proposed reports on the Soviet and Chinese Communist
polio making machinery. Arrangements were made to meet wit,
them at two o'clock tomorrow. will accompany
Mr. Warner and there will be one other Agency representative.
Mansfield also brought up the question which Senator Jackson
had raised earlier with the Director of the staff meeting with certain
Agency people in informal discussions. In addition to the names
of Amory and Bissell, Mansfield also listed Sherman Kent.. William
Bundy and . Timing and other arrangements will be
discussed further with Mansfield tomorrow.
