1. The following requirements were submitted by the Office of East Asian
Analysis (OEA) for their move to the New Headquarters Building (NHB). These
requirements have been accepted and will be funded by the Office of
Information Technology (OIT).
a. Provide non-secure telephone service, secure telephone
service, and data service for OEA personnel in the NHB.
b. Relocate the OEA AIDS terminal from Room 4G48 to Room
6D020 NHB.
c. Provide advance copies of Operations Center cables for OEA
on the fifth floor, North Tower Information Service Center (ISC).
d. Provide three tel lines for access to external,
25X1 unclassified data base.
2. The following requirement was submitted by OEA and is currently
being evaluated. We will advise you of the feasibility and function needed,
if any, as soon as it is resolved.
25X1 Relocate the OEA system PC from 4F42 to 6D043 in the
25X1 NHB and provide connectivity from the unclassified System
in the Operations Center operated by the office of Current Production
25X1 and Analytical Support (CPAS).
3. Your requirement, submitted jointly with the Office of Near Eastern
and South Asian Analysis (NESA) for analysts to review documents such as the
Midday Intelligence Report (MIR), National Intelligence Daily (NID), and the
President's Daily Rflii,tin (PDB) after preparation by CPAS has been referred

4. We also received your requirement, submitted jointly with NESA, to
provide access to the Special Handling documents now obtained in the
Operations Center. During investigation of this requirement, we learned that
the providers of these documents have placed certain restrictions on the
handling of the documents. Since these restrictions preclude any electrical
solution to the problem, or even making copies for use in the NHB, it will be
necessary for you and NESA to explore other alternatives with CPAS and the
providers of the documents. If we can be of assistance in this effort, we
will be glad to do so.
