STAT MEMORANDUM FOR:
Deputy Director Office of Information Technology
The FBIS/OIT Interface Document, formally identified as Appendix D,
AFS/Agency Classified Systems Interface (dated 19 January 1988) was accepted
by the ITMB on 21 March 1988 with one restriction: the requirements relating
to JPRS document transfer are accepted at this time by OIT for testing
purposes only. Per verbal agreements among FBIS, OIR, and OIT
representatives, operational implementation will be deferred.
Per previous correspondence, the following changes shall also be made:
1 - The TBR on page 5 in paragraph 1.4.2.1 is removed and the maximum
size of text file transmitted is now 5,000,000 bytes instead of
16,000,000 bytes.
2 - The TBD on page 91 under paragraph H.1 Hardware is assigned to OIT.
Please let me now when you need this TBD resolved.
3 - A requirements verification matrix will be provided by FBIS on or
before 23 May 1988.
Now that Appendix D is under ITMB control, all changes to it must be
approved by the ITMB.
Finally, a document identification number consistent with the system
appearing in the ITMB approved configuration management plan has been
assigned to Appendix D. That number is S51001.
