SUBJECT: OIT Cost Estimates
1. The Office of Information Technology (OIT) has prepared the
following cost estimates for the seven building/space scenarios as requested
by your Agency Task Force on 26 August.
2. Attachment A explains all the buildings that were requested to be
used in establishing the various costs for each scenario. (These scenarios
have been formalized as described below.) Attachment B summarizes the OIT
services and a description of the items necessary to provide the services that
will be required in each building. Attachment C addresses the assumptions
made in deriving the costs, and also assumed CIA costs that will be the
responsibility of other Agency components. Attachment D defines 21 additional
OIT cost estimates for various building scenarios as requested by the Director
of Logistics on 19 September. Some of these scenarios are not all inclusive
(e.g., closing down buildings and starting and/or upgrading other buildings
with similar total square footage) and can be misleading.
