and Pakistan
On 21 December 1983, Peter Galbraith, Senate Foreign
Relations staff, was brief

1. Technology transfers between India and the USSR,
and between Pakistan and China.
2. Military relations between India and the USSR, and
between Pakistan and France and China
3. India's growing hostility toward Pakistan and its
implications
4. Our assessment of the prospects of the Zia regime
and the status of opposition groups in Palestine.
5. Status of Pakistan's nuclear program and our
assessment of the Pakistani's intent to explode a
nuclear device.
