ALA/MCD/CA, briefed Margaret Daley Hayes, senior Senate Foreign
Relations Committee staffer, on the general political-military
2. The discussion was friendly and informal. Ms. Hayes was
especially interested in the pre-election political maneuverings,
the current military situation in the country, and the supply of
arms and materiel to the insurgents.
3. No follow up is anticipated.
