S E C R E T Approved For Release 2004/06/15: CIA-RDP91 M00649R09 eC5%l~l--Z 1 July 1977 NOTE FOR: The Executive Secretary SUBJECT : National Intelligence Priorities 1. Following the DCI's meeting with Secretary Brown, Secretary Vance, and National Security Adviser Brzezinski, we have received su s 1 's-ts of National Intelligence Priorities from for the Department of State, General Brown f e , and David McGiffert for Defense. Before we attempt a synthesis of these lists, a e require Brzezinski's contribution. The priorities in the three lists we have are largely the same with differing emphases between the military and the civilian contributions; State's is probably the most sophisticated. 2. Since we do not have all contributions and therefore cannot do more at this point, we recommend that the DCI not raise National Intelligence Priorities when he meets with Secretary Vance today.
