1. SIGNIFICANCE: AN EXPORT VERSION OF THE TURYA-CLASS HYDROFOIL
MOTOR TORPEDO BOAT (PTH) IS ON THE DECK OF A SOVIET OMSK-CLASS
MERSHIP AT THIS FACILITY. (SWN)
2. REMARKS: THE OMSK-CLASS MERSHIP HAS ARRIVED AT VLADIVOSTOK
THE FLOATING CRANE THAT PLACED THE 25X1
PTH ONBOARD IS STILL ALONG SIDE THE MERCHANT SHIP. A SECOND
EXPORT TURYA PTH (NOT ON GRAPHIC) IS BERTHED ALONGSIDE A TANKER
ACROSS THE HARBOR, PROBABLY AWAITING TRANSFER ONTO THE
OMSK-CLASS MERSHIP. THE DESTINATION OF THESE VESSELS IS
UNKNOWN. TWO EXPORT TURYAS WERE OBSERVED BEING TRANSPORTED TO
CUBA ONBOARD AN OMSK-CLASS MERSHIP IN 1979. (SWN)

VLADIVOSTOK SHIPYARD ULIS (SWN) 25X1
