There is no information available on the state of eouipnent at the Bawdwin mines except as indicated by the reported production plans. Extraction activities were resumed at the Bawdwin mines on a small scale during September 1952. The new joint corporation hopes to%build production to 8s,000 tons of ore per month with available equipment,,, once transport service is restored on a regular basis and training of indigenous labor by former Gurkha miners is completed.
