Recommendation for Recoverage of ~ertairi Ares in Cuba
1. The COMDR approved a draft paper on.the above subject as
amended. The approved version has been distributed as COMDR-D-24/6' .
2. It was agreed that upon receipt of the photography the NPIC
would provide an immediate crash readout of those select requirements
identified by ONI on behalf of CINCLANT, whereupon the full prelimina~?y
report- would be issued on a.normal schedule.
Highest- Priority Reconnaissance Requirements
3. Colonel Winterbottom distributed to the members a folder
on the above subject which contains the full IBM run on the 1-A listi of

highest priority targets of the CO MO R's requirements. Category 1, it was
explained by Colonel Winterbottom, wiil not be issued until certain adjust-
ments in AFCI are completed in regard to the marriage of the IBM run and
A.I. F. tape. Ivfeanwhile, however,. the earlier Air Force issuance. of
Category 1 targets is in the. hands of the members and may be used as ref-
erence as required.
4. The subject issuance along with the approved COMDR guidance
for preliminary interpretation completes the current examination of highest
priority requirements of COMDR., except that the Air Force will shortly issue
for the convenience of the members the overlay charts for Priorities l-A and
1 similar to those which it used in its satellite reconnaissance concept (Cf.
GOMOR-M-14, paragraph 4).
Reconnaissance of the Dominican Republic
5. The COMDR considered, but decided against, proposing at
this time targets for reconnaissance over the Domincan Republic or any
targets in Cuba which might be used in an invasion of the Dominican Republic
by Cuba.
6. Commander Myles noted that CINCLANT is currently con-
ducting recce over the Dominican. Republic. He made arrangements for 50X1
dissemination of the readout of such photography to the members.
