SUBJECT: Movement of Materials
1. In the past, due to unforseen and unavoidable circumstances
much confusion and unnecessary time has been devoted to the receipt of
materials being received from Project CHALICE.
2. To overcome these it is recommended that the Director of
Operations instruct all couriers to use the following procedures:
a. If material is being shipped from the Processing Site ^
to HTAUTOMAT, the courier is to call the following in the order
indicated upon arrival at Bolling Air Force Base, National Airport
or such other point of arrival as may be used:
Since these people will have been alerted of an incoming shipment
they will be able to arrive at HTAUTOMAT at about the same time as
the couriers.
b. Couriers escorting materiel, being shipped from overseas
bases to HTAUTOMA.T should' 'be advised to deliver material to HTAUToMAT
(5th & K) and the guard will have the name of the contact to call. Or,
if the courier arrives by air in the Washington area he could call one
of the following contacts if he has been so instructed by the Project
via cable.
