Approved For Rele 2001/09/04: CIA-RDP92BO109OR00 0080057-0 17 November 1962 25X1A 25X1A 25X1A 25X1A 25X1A MEMORANDUM FOR: Deputy Director of Central Ingelligence SUBJECT: Cuba Targets 1. As of possible interest, there is set forth in the attached the list of targets for and for BRASS KNOB for Sunday, November 18, which have been agreed between CIA and DIA (and, therefore, under our agreed procedure represent. the views of the Committee on Overhead Reconnaissance). 2. Also of interest is the fact that the latest. photo information which could be taken into account in the preparation of the attached list was that acquired froni- ~Wtnd BRASS KNOB Missions of 15 November, both of which suffered from bad weather with only spotty coverage although there was some good coverage from the 3. The paper prepared by on the subject of photographic requirements and which you saw and initialed on Thursday morning, 15 November, was not considered at the COMOR meeting of that date because some of the members had not yet received their copies. However, a special meeting of the COMOR will be held Monday mornin,;, 19 November, to consider that paper for adoption as a COMOR guidance for future targeting. 4. You would be interested in knowing that since the 9th or 10th of November, BRASS KNOB requirements have been designed to secure total coverage of the island during the week. The forepart of this week the western end was covered fairly successfully, say on the order of 90 per cent. However, in the eastern end, the. missions were plagued by weather, atmospheric haze, obliquity, and other handicaps so that coverage in that area was by no means complete". Copy.
