1. Careful consideration from a security standpoint has been
given to the request (Reference A) dated. 10 September 195? as sub-
mitted by the .Army Member, Utilization Advisory Board, in v~ihich
reference the .Army requests authorization for sanitization of TALENT
photography bearing the classification Tf?P SECRET CHESS.

3, It is recommended that the method for sanitization be
consistent with that prescribed and authorized by the UAB for Navy
utilization. (Reference B)

4. If this request is approved, it is proposed that dissemina-
tion of the "Sealed Packages" be made aria l~irmy-USAR:EUR T.AL1/NT
Control Officers to the Commanding General, U. S. Army, Europe,
for emergency distribution at his discretion to the Commanding
Generals of the major commands, separate coxxxmand~, and specially
designated Task Fo-aces, US.AR.~UR. ~1{J"hen the emergency ceases to
exist all materials- are to be returned to the. TC0/USAR~UR far
safekeeping.
