Declass/Release Instructions On File* Declassification/Release Instructions on File SURFACE-TO-AIR GUIDED MISSILE LAUNCHING SITES IN THE MOSCOW AREA(1) (S) )wring a recent flight from Leningrad to Moscow via commercial air (217, the ARMA, Moscow photographed three (3) SAM launching sites north of Moscow. Two (2) of these sites are situated on the outer missile ring and the other is located on the inner ring. (see chart) GOMh~NTs Detailed analysis of the photographs taken by ARMA denotes a slight error in the positions ascribed to the sites by ARMA, and indicates the coordinates of the sites to be more nearly as followss Although the configuration of these three (3) sites conforms generally to the "herringbone!' pattern typical of those reported previously, there are some apparent variations - probably due to terrain irregulari- ties and/or orientation of the primary access road to the individual sites, 1 Inc].
