Committee Procedures (Confidential)
1. The Chairman stated that he had reflected on the
suggestions made by some of the' members at the last meeting,
looking toward improving the Committee procedure and a reduction
of the time spent in Committees He stated that in the future,
would deploy graphic materials on recent missions
around the room for the members to peruse either before or after
the meeting. There would be a brief period for to
pass on comments of NPIC with regard to the recent myss:.ons and
for members to ask questions of The Chairman
stated that he would also exercise greater care in placing items on
the agenda to insure that issues were examined critically in order
to expedite action. He invited the patience of the members, accord-
ingly, in his reworking some of the papers which they submitted
and which normally are distributed immediately so that all will be
fully informed as to incoming papers. He reminded the members
that at the last meeting they had agreed that, in the future, meetings

2. The Committee agreed that, in view of the DIA's
request that the subject draft paper tentatively agreed to at the
meeting not go before the Board earlier than 6 November, the
Chairman should advise the Chairman of the Board of the status
of COMOR work on this problem, The DIA explained that it was
necessary for it to consult the Unified and Specified Commands
and that this could not be accomplished before 6 November.
