MEMORANDUM FOR THE PRESIDENT
SUBJECT: CIA Day Care Center
On September 5, 1989, our freestanding Day Care Center will
open for the first time to 104 children, from infancy to age 5.
Eligibility for the charter group was established by random
lottery conducted throughout the Agency.
The Center realizes a long-felt need. Operating expenses
will be covered largely through tuition. It will be a state-of-
the-art facility incorporating the ideas of professional child
gAre consultants and architectural design specialists We have
high hopes for it.
We would be most honored if you and Barbara would consent to
participate in a brief dedication ceremony, attended by the
children, their parents and the "faculty." It would mean a great
deal to the CIA family, and we think you both would find it an
enjoyable occasion and one in which you underscore your concern
and support for children in the modern age.
We hope you can do it. While September 5 would be our
preference, we can easily accommodate the actual dedication date
to your and Barbara's schedules.
